Conference Room Technology
Gigabit Ethernet
All conference rooms are connected with copper category-6 cabling supported by a fibre optic backbone. A gigabit Ethernet (speeds of 1000Mbps per second) can easily be set up within the hotel, allowing a variety of computer-based presentations to be staged with maximum reliability.
If required, the fibre optic backbone may be accessed through Boardroom I, enabling your equipment (servers, appliances, network storage, etc) to be located here for high speed linking with the rest of the conference rooms, the Internet or your VPN network.
Wireless Connectivity
Wireless equipment is located in the Grand Ballroom, the Ballroom foyer area and the hotel's Business Centre. This increases the reach of the conference room connectivity when speeds of 54Mbps per second or less are sufficient. This infrastructure is especially useful for mobile users, wireless Internet kiosks and product demonstrations.
Centralised Patching facility
A secured room houses the central patching cabinet allowing you to easily connect and locate fileservers, hubs, routers and other associated hardware. This facility allows for internal networks to be segregated for simultaneous use by multiple internal clients network security management and monitoring network performance.
High Speed Internet Access
A high-speed 'always on' Internet connection is available from all conference rooms. The VPN module allows the creation of your own WAN from within the hotel to an external location.
Video Conferencing
A PictureTel Concorde 4500 and three ISDN lines provide six channels (384kbps) for video-conferencing, enabling this facility to be set up with a short notice.
Built-in LED TV Wall
As the first hotel in Hong Kong introducing a built-in LED TV Wall in the Grand Ballroom, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong offers the best visual experience to our guests. The 38m x 83m LED TV Wall is a multi-media visual aid which gives event organisers the flexibility to change the background in a second, as well as display multiple visuals at the same time. As such, event organisers can minimize the production of structural materials and save the production and set up cost. This contributes to the unique experience of any event.
